Customer Reviews

This cigar was picked up a couple weeks ago up by Chicago at a shop called the Golden Leaf. It looks like a Toro size though the Cain website only lists three sizes, the 550, 660 and the 654T. I have heard of the power of this cigar but forgot all about it. While the guy was ringing up my cigars and seen I had a couple Camacho Triple Maduro, and 2 Oliva Serie V’s he asked me if I have tried the Cain yet. After saying no he pulled one off the side counter and talked me into trying a couple (like that was a hard sale).

Cain Habano Cigar Review

Pre-light

This is a good looking cigar with a slick single band around the foot. The band comes off with no issues. The cap is well placed blending in making it hard to pick out. No soft spots and a couple small/mid sized veins. The dark caramel wrapper just looks so tempting to smoke. It has a mild grassy/tobacco/earthy smell and has a good pre-draw.

The burn

Good burn all the way down. Never needed to be touched up or corrected in any way. The black/gray ash stayed tight with very little flaking and held on for an acceptiple length.. Good draw, just a solid built cigar.

The taste

A smooth rich spice is what I got for the most part on this cigar with pepper showing on the retrohale. The spice was never harsh or to much, just enjoyable.

Over all

From what I’ve read and was told about this cigar I was expecting an ass kicker here. Not saying this thing is mild but the Oliva Serie V walks all over the Cain when it comes to power. I smoked two and just don’t see it. On the other hand this was a enjoyable cigar and at $6 each I think it is another good smoke by Oliva and well worth a try.
